Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Finance Manager PSJH to Providence Finance in Tarzana, CA.
We are seeking a Finance Manager PSJH to support local ministry/entity leadership teams and may serve on local leadership committees as assigned. Responsible for financial analysis and modeling in order to evaluate the effectiveness of new programs and to propose recommendations for achieving financial goals and budgetary targets. Additionally, to provide financial analysis for strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting and to develop analytical reports to assist in enhancing process improvements and in increasing efficiencies. May also serve as a resource to clinical service line leaders. Other responsibilities may include development of financial plans, budgets, and support for month-end review of financial statements and other assistance as required.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Carry out the mission, vision and values of Providence St. Joseph Health; assists local finance leadership in managing costs against budgets.
Provide support to local leadership teams in developing and reviewing annual budgets for ministries assigned; complete or assist in completing periodic forecasting of ministry results.
Complete or assist in completing periodic forecasting of ministry results.
Review and participate in local capital budgeting and proforma analysis of appropriate investment.
Assist local leaders in interpreting and developing plans to analyze clinical service lines (may include institute financial reporting and value oriented architecture analysis).
Support leaders in analyzing and developing plans in relationship to Insights (costing) data and productivity data.
Provide direction in accomplishing mission sustainability efforts including tracking results of such work.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance related field, equivalent education/experience.
Minimum of five (5) years finance experience.
Ability to use mathematical methods or formulas to solve a problem.
Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
Ability to analyze information, evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
Ability to analyze information gathered by investigation, and report findings and recommendations.
Knowledge of financial principles and practices and the ability to apply them effectively.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Certified Public Accountant, HFMA or FACHE certifications.
