Providence is calling a Part Time, Day shift Unit Secretary to the Pediatric Unit Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center in Tarzana, CA.
Reporting to the Department Director or designee, this position is responsible for Communication system within department.
In this position you will:
Maintains internal and external communication systems. Answers phone, greet patients, direct callers to appropriate party or department and takes messages.
Files, copies, faxes, mails patient reports.
Arranges the retrieval of archived studies.
Maintains logs, and performs billing. Demonstrates ability to operate hospital systems.
Responds to inquiries regarding patient results, and pending procedures. Maintains data flow for referred procedures.
Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work area.
Maintains a stock of office supplies and orders clinical supplies as requested.
Responsible for record keeping at meetings and in-services; departmental invoices licenses and certifications.
Demonstrates willingness & ability to float to areas within their scope of practice as necessary.
Required qualifications this position include:
Current LA City Fire Card within 30 days of hire.
One (1) or more years experience in a similar position.
